EXP1 sketchup model progress 1

The sketchup model is proving to be a creative challenge.

The main issue I have found is the below-datum space for Autofabrica with inspiration coming from the word 'bold'.

Initially I planned the workshop to be directly below the exhibition area. However, this has made the area incredibly symmetric and predictable, like rectangular basement.

Creating the staircases has given me some inspiration for the below-ground area. The staircase provides reliefs which can be uses as mini - design workshops. This would allow the stair to be more than just a path to a singular workshop, but rather a network of paths between many mini workshops.

As for the above ground area, I plan to make the space more diverse and interesting possibly using some lattice structures and some variation to the ground plane as, at the moment, it is completely flat and doesn't communicate with each space.

It would be interesting to merge the intricate and bold in the central area. Possibly some complex lattice shapes combined with some rectilinear concrete forms. Initially I wanted everything to be below a dome however this is fast becoming a lost option as it seems to restrict the area.
